love me, yes
buncitz, it's been 6 wonderful months being your fiancee. i can't thank you enuff.
i found dis meaningful para in the current book i'm reading. tot i'll share it wif you.
"although i wanted to tell him, i loved him, i didn't. not right away. i saved up that word like a child saving pennies, hoarding them until their purchasing power takes on mythical proportions. the word love had value to us back then, like currency you save up greedily and handed over only when you knew what you were getting in return was worth it. when i finally told him and he said it back, i felt like i'd won the lottery.
over the years our currency had become devalued as we started to hand out i love yous like tips, carelessly tossing them at each other because we knew it was expected. our loving declarations had followed economic principles until supply seemingly overtook demand simply because the word was plentiful. until we'd forgotten that telling each other i love you had ever had value, and the meaning had become devalued, gone the way of the russian ruble."
i love you. and i mean it. devalued my love has not.
